Relaxation Massage: Long soothing strokes promoting circulation, stress reduction and relief in the superficial muscles.
Therapeutic Session: Site specific work to address chronic or acute pain. Utilizes various techniques, including those listed below, in communication with the client to achieve results.
Myofascial Release: A safe and very effective technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This gentle and slow approach allows the fascia to elongate. As the superficial layers release deeper layers may be accessed.
CranioSacral: A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including: Migraine Headaches,Chronic Neck and Back Pain, Motor-Coordination Impairments, Autism, Central Nervous System Disorders, Orthopedic Problems,Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries, Scoliosis, Learning Disabilities, Chronic Fatigue, Emotional Difficulties, Stress and Tension-Related Problems,Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders, Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ), Neurovascular or Immune Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Post-Surgical Dysfunction.
(Clothes on, face up! Wear something comfortable!)
MPS (pain reduction): Micro Current Point Stimulation works by sending tiny electrical impulses to first locate, and then stimulate, treatment points related to a given disorder. Once stimulated, these points naturally relieve chronic intractable pain, ETPS has become the preferred non-pharmacological alternative to aggressive therapies and toxic pharmaceuticals. Contraindications: Patients who are pregnant, have cancer, are epileptic (or prone to seizures) or fitted with cardiac pacemakers, should NOT use.
May be applied as an individual session or added to any other treatment.
Reiki: A Japanese energy technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by a light touch or the hands simply above the body. It is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Several basic effects of a Reiki treatment are: deep relaxation, destroy energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.
Chakra Balancing: Chakras are our energy centers. They are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura. Their function is to vitalize the physical body and to bring about the development of our self-consciousness. They are associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions. Having your chakras evaluated by a trained practitioner is a good way to get a better understanding of how your body functions on an energetic level. A healer trained in manipulating the energy flow of energy can assist you in getting misaligned chakras back to functioning properly.
